OUTREACH WORKSHOPS

As well as our regular bundle of productions, events and workshops, La Luna Youth Arts runs an 'outreach' program; workshops and projects that suit the specific needs of schools, youth groups and other organisations who employ our services.

Workshops

We are able to run 'tailor made' workshop programs in all of the mediums we currently teach as well as combining disciplines for a multi-arts experience.

Popular workshops we have run in the past include;
- Improvisation
- Circus toys (manipulation)
- Shakespearean performance
- Stage management and technical theatre
- Basic camera operation
- Persuasive speaking
- Contemporary dance
- Clay
- Collage

Projects

If you are specifically interested in having a performance, a demonstration or having our longer-term involvement on a larger project you are running then we would love to hear from you! In the past we have developed coordinated and/or delivered projects with youth service providers, disability service providers, schools, corporate event coordinators, government departments and other arts organisations.

Previous large-scale projects include;

- LOL and GEN WHY (multimedia productions in partnership with Lifeline Community Care)
- UNTITLED (Live music events in partnership with the Townsville Youth Network)
- JIGSAW ARTS EXPERIENCE (a multi-discipline workshop program created and delivered for Queensland Youth Services)
- LIFE INTERRUPTED (a collection of short films created for the Mental Illness Fellowship)
- COME HOME (a large scale art installation in collaboration with local Townsville primary schools
