This pre-primary age class explores creative play through words, movement and sound - each term focusing on a different theme. These classes are designed for children to develop dramatic and creative play skills through the eyes of the theatre. Together with their tutor, Jonathon Brown, they will explore characters, time, story settings, props and create their own stories through improvisation, using their imaginations.

SQUIRCLE THEATRE (4 - 7yrs)

SATURDAYS 9AM - 10AM

Explore some of the elements of drama – role, character, dramatic meaning/focus, place/space and situation. Your child will play lots of theatre games to develop focus and improvisation skills and being a team player through group drama.

ZIG ZAG THEATRE (6 - 9yrs)

WEDNESDAYS 4:00PM - 6:00PM

Our youngest drama based workshop group where children learn the basics of performance including improvisation, script work and acting techniques. Participants will learn skills in improvisation, movement and storytelling. Your self-confidence, team building and collaboration skills will improve while you have fun and take risks in a safe environment. 

TWISTED THEATRE (10 - 14yrs)

TUESDAYS 4:00PM - 6:00PM

Our intermediate drama group which extends from the basics and explores improvisation, script work and acting techniques through a range of genres and performance styles. This term we will work on monologues and duologues to present at the end of term to family and friends. Learn about playmaking, creating characters, storytelling, following stage directions and working as a team.

JAGGED EDGE THEATRE (15yrs+)

TUESDAYS 4PM - 6PM

Our most senior drama class comprised of young people aged 15 - 26yrs. This group is involved with specific projects as well as skills development terms. agged Edge Theatre will work with Twisted Theatre to work on on monologues and duologues to present at the end of term to family and friends. Learn about play making, creating characters, storytelling, following stage directions and working as a team.
